Three Layers, One Cloth That Earns Its Keep
Most cloths absorb. Most waterproof materials protect. Almost none do both, and fewer do it in a form that feels comfortable against skin and looks like something you'd actually choose to have around. The Lifesaver Nano does all three.
The printed waterproof minky on top helps the cloth stay put when draped over a shoulder or placed under a chin, and keeps whatever's underneath completely dry. The microterry core beneath it absorbs quickly and holds on, pulling liquid away from the surface. The stay-dry charcoal fleece at the base keeps the contact surface feeling dry even after the cloth has already been working hard. Every layer is doing something specific. Nothing is just padding.
At 18"×14", it's broad enough to cover what needs covering and compact enough to keep several within reach at once. Machine-washable on warm or cold. Hangs dry fast. No fabric softener, no special cycle, no fuss.

A Cloth That Goes Where You Go
The Lifesaver Nano started as one thing and became something people quietly reach for in situations nobody wrote a product category for.
People managing drooling, whether from neurological conditions, medication side effects, dental work, or post-surgery healing, use it draped over the shoulder or tucked into a collar, where the waterproof backing protects clothing while the stay-dry charcoal keeps skin comfortable. Caregivers use it during feeding support, repositioning, or any moment where liquid is likely and a soft absorbent surface needs to be instantly available. People with hyperhidrosis use it for targeted sweat management in areas where traditional products don't fit.
It goes into medical bags alongside G-tube supplies. It lives on the bedside table during recovery. It folds into a handbag for someone who needs reliable absorption close to hand. It drapes over a keyboard when you're eating lunch at your desk. It goes where you need it, does the job without ceremony, and comes out of the wash looking exactly the same as when you bought it.
Compact. Multi-purpose. Reusable. The Lifesaver Nano is the kind of product that, once you have a few, you stop noticing is there, because you stop noticing the problem it was solving.

Reusable vs Disposable: The Real Numbers
Paper towels, tissue paper, disposable wipes, single-use cloth pads, most people managing ongoing moisture or absorption needs go through them faster than they'd like to track. The Lifesaver Nano is designed to replace that.
One cloth. Machine-wash. Reuse. No weekly restocking. No running out at the exact wrong moment. No bin full of single-use absorbents by Thursday.

The Lifesaver Nano is a compact, triple-layer reusable absorbent cloth with a waterproof-backed printed minky top, an absorbent microterry core, and a stay-dry charcoal fleece base. It measures 18 inches × 14 inches (45.7 cm × 35.6 cm) and is machine washable.
It's a multi-purpose reusable absorbent cloth. People use it for drool management, post-surgery drainage, G-tube and feeding tube care, caregiving support, hyperhidrosis, post-dental care, medication side effects, sensory use, and everyday spills. It handles any situation where you need soft, absorbent, waterproof-backed coverage.
The printed waterproof minky side faces outward, away from the body, or upward when laid flat. The stay-dry charcoal fleece faces toward skin or the surface being protected.
Yes. It's used by adults managing drooling caused by neurological conditions (ALS, Parkinson's, cerebral palsy, stroke), medication side effects, and post-surgical recovery. The waterproof backing protects clothing; the charcoal fleece keeps skin comfortable; and the printed design looks like a regular cloth accessory rather than a medical supply.
Yes. The Lifesaver Nano is used at G-tube sites to absorb drainage and leakage. The soft charcoal layer is gentle against stoma skin, and it's machine-washable for rapid rotation between uses throughout the day.
Yes. The charcoal fleece base is soft and safe for direct skin contact, including sensitive skin and skin near wounds, tubes, or delicate areas. It's free of fragrances, dyes on the contact layer, and common irritants.
Yes, fully reusable. With proper care (no hot wash, no fabric softener, hang dry when possible) it's designed for indefinite reuse. The same construction is used across Lil Helper's cloth diaper and Lifesaver mats, where customers regularly report products lasting 5+ years.
The waterproof layer is PUL (polyurethane laminate), a food-grade, skin-safe material used widely in reusable textile products. Lil Helper products are CPSIA certified and tested free of BPA, parabens, formaldehyde, lead, and phthalates.
For ongoing use, yes. The microterry core absorbs and holds liquid rather than pushing it around the way paper towels do. The waterproof backing prevents soaking through to clothing or surfaces, something paper has none of. And the stay-dry charcoal surface keeps the contact side comfortable in a way disposable wipes can't match.
The Lifesaver Nano (18"×14") is sized for wearing on or near the body, draped over a shoulder, used under the chin, or held close. The Lifesaver Mini Mat (18"×28") is designed for surface protection: under a pet bowl, on a changing surface, on a chair seat. Both use waterproof construction; the Nano is smaller and more portable for personal use.
Absolutely. The Lifesaver Nano handles coffee spills, kitchen drips, pet water bowls, and general household messes where you need a cloth that actually absorbs rather than spreads liquid, and keeps the surface underneath dry. The waterproof backing protects countertops, furniture, and fabric underneath it.
The Lifesaver Nano is small enough to toss in with your regular laundry without affecting agitation, which makes wash day easy.
For lightly soiled (new items, drool, food spills, grass, dirt, and similar everyday messes), no pre-rinse is needed. Just wipe away any solid matter and add it to your regular load.
- Select a regular cycle in cold or warm water (do not use hot water)
- Use a good detergent (we recommend Tide Original)
- Hang to dry when possible, or tumble dry on low and remove promptly
For heavily soiled (urine, feces, blood, vomit), a pre-rinse before the main wash is important to prevent odor and staining. Do not let it sit soiled for more than 3 days.
- Wipe away any solid matter and rinse promptly after use
- Run a pre-rinse or quick/speed wash cycle in warm water with a small amount of detergent (use cold water for blood)
- Follow with a regular wash cycle and hang to dry, or tumble dry on low
For all washes: Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and castile or coconut-based soaps, as these reduce absorbency over time.
For oil or cream-based stains: Pretreat with a small drop of blue Dawn dish soap, hand wash, and rinse thoroughly before putting it in the machine.
Drying tip: Always make sure the mat is completely dry before folding or storing to avoid mold.
